Local crime and antisocial behaviour can have a huge impact on our communities. It is vital residents feel safe in their homes and on our streets.
The government is hiring 20,000 extra police officers across the country. Already, that meant an extra 628 officers for our local police in the West Midlands. Helping to make our streets safer. Sandwell is getting 172 of these officers and Tipton Police Station is fully operational. With a 999 response unit based in Tipton, and Great Bridge becoming a priority policing area, we should start to see reduced crime rates locally. But we know there is more to do.
And as we continue work to recruit more police to improve the presence of the Old Bill locally, we want to hear what you feel the top priorities should be for tackling crime
Please take a few moments to complete the below survey and share your views on crime and anti-social behavior. And together, let’s make Sandwell a better place to live for all of us.
