ABOUT ALI
Ali has the assets of youth, energy and vision.
He lives and was brought up in Abbey ward. This provides him with insight into local problems as well as an appreciation of the amazing community potential there is in Abbey.
The amount of crime in the area is concerning. Ali supports government moves to increase police numbers and effectiveness. He is also keen to expand youth facilities to combat youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
Bearwood’s shopping centre is overdue for regeneration with too many closed and empty shops. Ali aims to reverse the neglect, bring support to existing businesses and attract outside investment.
Traffic congestion and parking are local problems. Ali supports the work of West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street to improve public transport to provide a viable alternative to car travel.
Ali is an agent of change, determined to reverse years of neglect.
